If we don’t act now, the cost of college is going to go up for students and their families. Making school more expensive is unacceptable. There’s no way around it.
On July 1, interest rates on federally subsidized student loans are set to double, from 3.4% to 6.8%. That’s real money and a real hit if Congress fails to act immediately. In order to preserve tax breaks for people who don’t need them, Republicans are refusing to come together and support middle-class families.
We can’t let them do this. Join us in telling Republicans that loan rates must be held down. Let’s tell the GOP to stop putting special interests before everyone else.
Add your voice to our call for Republicans to hold student loan rates down. Our students are counting on it.
